The best way to groom your Pug is to do a take a few minutes to groom your pooch every day. If you groom them a little bit every day, it’ll cut down on the time you need to do when it comes to their monthly cleaning.

Daily Pug Care Maintenance

These are things that can be done quickly without spending hours trying to clean your Pug.

Daily Brushing: Pugs shed a lot and by brushing them on a daily basis can help cut down on the amounts your dog sheds. When you’re sitting around watching television or just sitting outside, you can grab your dog’s favorite grooming brush and brush their fur.

Clean Their Folds: Canine wipes make it so easy to quickly clean your Pug’s skin folds. Doing this daily or at least once a week will make it so much easier to maintain. You’ll also cut down on the risk of infections that are caused by bacteria that are known to grow in Pug’s wrinkles.

Furminator or Deshedding Tool: A furminator for Pugs is perfect because it helps you reach through their topcoat and safely remove loose hair on their undercoat. It should definitely be a part of their monthly grooming routine.

Brush – You’ll want a brush you can use to brush your Pug on a weekly basis. This will help you control the shedding problem and remove any loose fur on a regular basis.

Flea Comb – If you live in an area where your Pug can be infected with fleas, I highly recommend combing their hair once a month and checking for fleas. This flea comb is perfect for doing that and will even remove with just a quick combing motion.

When we bathed Mindy, we used the Earthbath Oatmeal & Aloe Shampoo and Conditioner, because it didn’t cause any reactions and it smelled great!

Conditioner – If your Pug smells bad then you may want to consider a spray on and leave in conditioner. We used to do this for Mindy in the Summer because she used to spend more time outdoors and would smell bad in the Summer.
