I could literally go on and on with tons of dental treats for Pugs. However, I am going to share the three brands that gave Mindy and she loved them.

We loved them because they helped remove a lot of the tarter build-up, didn’t trigger any allergies, and helped make her teeth stronger with fresher breath.

Caution: Dental treats do not mean you don’t have to brush your Pug’s teeth. You still need to brush their teeth on a regular basis.

Before I share some of the best dog teeth cleaning treats, let’s first look at how your Pug will benefit from these approved products for dogs.

Benefits of Dog Dental Treats

Just like humans, dogs are prone to periodontal diseases if their teeth are not properly cared for. Like us your pooch can suffer from:

  • Bad Breath (Read this article on how to get rid of Pug bad breath)
  • Bacteria and saliva buildup from food which causes plaque
  • Yellow and brown stain residues on teeth
  • Gum problems (bleeding, irritated, and swollen)

Humans floss their teeth on a daily basis to help improve their oral health. Think of dog dental treats as a way to improve your Pug’s oral health.

Yummy Snack

We all know Pugs love eating and are prone to obesity. Well, dental treats are a great healthy treat that she’ll love and will help keep her gums healthy and provide an assortment of other benefits.

Most dental treats contain vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that help keep your Pug’s teeth healthy.

The best part about these snacks is that they will keep your pooch busy for hours.

Eliminate Bad Breath

While most dogs breath will stink, bad breath can also be a sign of dental problems. It’s always important to pay attention to your pup’s breath to get them regular checkups.

Dental treats are great for helping alleviate bad breath in dogs. They are not the only dog treats they will love, but they can help freshen your pet’s breath.

Kind of like when we use mouthwash to help freshen our breath.

Come In Different Sizes and Shapes

All these come in different sizes and it’s important to find the right size to fit your Pug. If your dog is an aggressive chewer, you should consider buying something that lasts awhile.

These products come in the form of chewies, dental bones, and other dental diets to help prevent periodontal disease.

We always gave Mindy her dental treats at night when she was in the same room as us. We felt much better watching her, to ensure that she didn’t choke. Whatever you do, don’t give your dog cooked chicken bones.

Best Dental Chews For Dogs Teeth

Now that you know the benefits of dental chews for dogs, let’s take a look at some of the best products that your dog will love and are safe for your pooch.
