#4 Dremel Pet Nail Grooming Tool

The Dremel Pet Nail Grooming Tool is perfect for those pet owners who want a more humane and hate the nail clipping process.

This Dremmel has two rotating speeds which allow you to safely and carefully grind your Pug’s nails. You can trim your Pug’s nails quickly and safely in minutes.

It is recommended that you use the 120 and 240 grit when grinding your Pug’s nails. The important thing to remember is the higher the grit number the smoother the nail will be and you will have fewer incidents of cracking and splitting nails.

The Dremmel includes the mounting drum and 5 sanding disks, which will last you a very long time. You can find replacements on Amazon, department store or your local hardware store.

The downside: Your Pug may require training to help them get used to the vibrating sensation of this device. The grinding process will require more time than the clipping process, so patience is required until your dog gets used to them.

Best Nail Clippers for Dogs With Thick Nails

As I mentioned above, the best nail clippers for your Pug are the ones that are constructed of high-quality steel with sharp blades. I highly suggest investing in a good pair of Guillotine trimmers for your Pug.

If you try using dull scissors, there’s a chance that you’ll not only cut the quick and make the bleed.

But you will have to spend time filing their nails because the clippers left sharp edges that get caught on carpet or scratch your hardwoods.

If your Pug has extremely thick nails and nothing seems to work well, then you may want to consider Guillotine clippers, which are better for thicker dog nails.

My Pug Won’t Let Me Cut His Nails

Maybe you’ve been using the wrong type of nail trimmers for your Pug? If so, then they now consider getting their nails clipped as a bad experience.

The best way to get them to enjoy the process or at least stop struggling and fighting you is switching up to a good pair of Guillotine clippers.

Did you know that the best clippers for a Pug are the Guillotine clippers, which are the best for small-to-medium sized dogs?

Guillotine clippers make it easy to handle the clippers and are perfect for anyone who has weak hands, hand pain or suffer from arthritis. The Guillotine clippers have two blades that come together to quickly and easily cut your dog’s nails.

Pugs Nails Curling

You’re not the first one to experience your Pug’s nails curling. Most pet owners will face this issue at one point or another. I have to admit that I didn’t always cut Mindy’s nails on a regular basis.

There were more than a couple times when I had to clip her nails while they were curled or bent. It’s not easy and I don’t recommend letting your Pug’s nails curl.

But if they do, then I recommend using the guillotine style toenail cutters. These clippers do NOT clip like scissors, but rather a guillotine.

To trim your dog’s nails, you place the nail inside the circular-shaped cutter. If your dog is restless and moving, you may need someone to help you with the cutter.
